Litigation Paralegal | Morgan & Morgan, P.A.

The work performed by the litigation paralegal is crucial in managing legal processes and documentation that enable the firm to achieve successful outcomes for its clients.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Document Preparation: Prepare and e-file legal documents such as pleadings, motions, affidavits, complaints, and legal memoranda in state and federal courts.
• Case Investigation: Conduct legal research and factual investigations to gather relevant information from various sources to support cases.
• Discovery Management: Draft discovery documents, interrogatories, and responses, and coordinate and summarize depositions.
• Trial Support: Aid attorneys with trial preparation, including organizing exhibits, documents, evidence, briefs, appendices, and assisting with witness preparation.
• Communication & Liaison: Communicate with clients, courts, counsel, and others, serving as a liaison between trial teams and internal and external third parties.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Requires an Associate’s Degree, certificate, or equivalent work experience, specifically in Personal Injury, Workers Compensation, Premises, First Party, Medical Malpractice, or other injury-related practice areas.
• Experience: At least 2 years of working experience as a litigation paralegal or in legal services under an attorney or lawyer in a law firm setting.
• Skills: Proficiency in legal document drafting and e-filing; strong capabilities in legal research and factual investigation; effective discovery management and coordination; excellent written and verbal communication skills with meticulous attention to detail.
• Bonus: Completion of a nationally accredited paralegal program is preferred.
