What You’ll Actually Do
• Discovery Management: Propound and respond comprehensively to discovery requests for active legal cases, ensuring all relevant information is exchanged.
• Court Filings: Meticulously prepare all required documents for filing in both state and federal court, while also managing the comprehensive docket calendar and adhering strictly to all court deadlines.
• Communication & Coordination: Draft precise legal correspondence and maintain regular, effective, and courteous communication with clients, expert witnesses, and opposing defense counsel.
• Litigation Support: Provide substantial assistance with pre-trial preparation, which includes drafting critical trial documents and organizing and preparing all necessary exhibits for presentation.
• Task Management: Prioritize and efficiently complete a diverse range of tasks in a timely manner, ensuring seamless support for ongoing consumer class action and complex litigation cases.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Mid-level professional bringing a minimum of 3 years of specialized experience in class action law, coupled with direct experience in filing procedures across state and federal court systems.
• Experience: Proven track record with at least 3 years in class action law, demonstrating advanced knowledge of various filing procedures, including expertise in e-filing systems.
• Skills: Strong and clear written and oral communication abilities are essential for interacting with all parties. Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 is required, alongside the proven capability to act independently and perform duties with minimal supervision. A typing speed of at least 40 words per minute is also necessary.
• Bonus: Prior experience utilizing Litify or Salesforce platforms, and the ability to communicate effectively as bilingual in Spanish, are highly valued assets.
