• Team: Within the legal department, supporting business unit attorneys.
• Mission: Support legal counsel in contract review, document drafting, and compliance to ensure efficient and effective legal operations for the company’s projects.
What You’ll Actually Do
• Contract Review: Support counsel with the review of contracts and prepare first drafts of various legal documents.
• Legal Documentation & Research: Draft legal documentation, perform legal and factual research, and review and negotiate non-disclosure agreements with legal direction.
• Compliance & Due Diligence: Identify relevant jurisdictions for potential work, validate appropriate licenses, and perform due diligence on business partners or subcontractors.
• Legal Operations Management: Maintain contract templates, manage key business documentation, and support the development and compliance with internal protocols and procedures.
• Department Coordination: Coordinate department level operational matters, such as monthly newsletters and knowledge management databases, and prepare Power Point presentations and trainings.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree (or international equivalent) with a focus on legal support within a corporate or large firm environment.
• Experience: 5-8 years of relevant work experience; minimum three years in a large international law firm or corporation; minimum five years with an in-house legal team.
• Skills: Excellent oral and written communication skills, strong attention to detail, well-honed drafting skills, excellent organizational skills, and strong technology skills.
• Bonus: Prepared to travel on an occasional, as needed basis.
