Quantitative Data Analytics Summer Analyst Program | Bank of America
The Tone:
This is a 10-week full-time summer internship at Bank of America, with placements in Atlanta, Charlotte, Chicago, and NYC Metro. • Team: Interns are placed on a specific team within one of five lines of business: Global Risk Management, Chief Financial Officer Group, Enterprise Credit, Consumer & Small Business Banking, or Analytics, Modeling & Insights.
• Mission: Develop and coach quantitative and analytical talent by applying quantitative and analytical methods to specific financial challenges and supporting data-driven decision-making across the organization.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Apply quantitative and analytical methods to understand and solve financial and risk management problems.
• Collect, clean, and analyze data to extract actionable insights without necessarily specializing in complex model development.
• Extract, process, and interpret various data types to support decision-making, including the potential for complex modeling.
• Conduct comprehensive research and analysis, assessing internal and public data, to provide micro and macro views of risk and/or financial management.
• Leverage quantitative and analytical knowledge to address specific financial challenges and projects aligned with your business placement.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s or Bachelor’s direct to Master’s degree from an accredited college or university, with a major in Math, Statistics, Economics, Data Science, Computer Science, Financial Engineering, or similar course of study. This is an entry-level program.
• Experience: Candidates must be graduating between November 2027 and August 2028. Advanced proficiency in programming languages and analytical tools is required.
• Skills: Python, SQL, R, C++, MATLAB, Java, Financial and mathematical modeling, Data structures, Data integration, Data cleaning.
• Bonus: A minimum GPA of 3.5 is preferred. Candidates interested in the Data Analyst profile should possess proficiencies in data visualization tools, including but not limited to Tableau, Hadoop, and/or PowerBI.
