Banking & Wealth Management Deposits Analytics, Vice President | JPMorgan Chase

The Tone:
This Vice President position is part of JPMorgan Chase’s Banking and Wealth Management Controllers, Data & Analytics team within the Consumer and Community Banking group. The team focuses on enhancing the company’s financial reporting capabilities. This role is crucial for driving end-to-end deposits reporting analytics and data modernization, ensuring executive-ready insights across regulatory and SEC management reporting. The successful candidate will operate in a controlled environment, influencing stakeholders through strong data storytelling and effective delivery execution.

• Team: Banking and Wealth Management Controllers, Data & Analytics team for Consumer and Community Banking
• Mission: Own key deposits reporting and analytics deliverables end-to-end and help drive modernization efforts that integrate new platforms/infrastructure into the ledger and downstream finance and reporting ecosystems.
• Tech Stack: SAP, Hyperion Essbase, Dodeca, SAS, SQL, Tableau, Alteryx, JIRA, Advanced Excel

What You’ll Actually Do
• Data Management: Own the sourcing, compilation, validation, and distribution of financial data for complex quarterly/annual reporting, including deposits-related regulatory/SEC deliverables and management materials.
• Stakeholder Alignment: Drive alignment across product owners, technology, LOB deposit controllers, SEC Reporting, Regulatory Reporting, firmwide reporting, and finance teams in a matrixed environment.
• Process Modernization: Lead strategic initiatives to automate and enhance reporting infrastructure, assessing processes and implementing scalable solutions and controls.
• Product Integration: Partner on new product and platform initiatives by coordinating finance infrastructure changes, readiness, and control integration, including testing data solutions against submissions/manual processes.
• Project Oversight: Provide project management discipline by managing timelines/milestones and escalating issues constructively with concise, executive-ready communications.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Management Information Systems with strong finance/controller fundamentals.
• Experience: 6+ years in Accounting/Finance, reporting, analytics, controllership, or related roles with demonstrated end-to-end ownership of deliverables (monthly/quarterly cycles).
• Skills: Advanced Excel proficiency; strong proficiency in SAP and Hyperion Essbase and/or Dodeca for data sourcing, reconciliation, and reporting workflows; experience with SAS, SQL, Tableau, and/or Alteryx; proven analytical/problem-solving skills with the ability to distill complex data into concise, executive-ready insights and narratives; strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills; strong organization/multitasking skills with the ability to manage critical deadlines.
• Bonus: Public accounting experience and/or experience operating in a controlled reporting/audit environment; JIRA experience and comfort partnering with technology teams on requirements, testing, release milestones, and delivery governance; exposure to deposits regulatory reporting processes/controls and balance sheet/income statement reporting in a large financial institution.
