Investment Banking – Vice President, Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) | PKF O’Connor Davies

The Tone:
This is a full-time role at PKF Investment Banking, located in the New York Tri-state area, requiring a minimum of three days per week in the office. PKF Investment Banking is the rapidly growing M&A advisory practice of PKF O’Connor Davies, a private equity-backed leading accounting and advisory platform with over 1,900 professionals. This position offers a unique opportunity to significantly impact the firm’s expansion and success, providing a path for rapid advancement. The role focuses on delivering high-level M&A advisory services to privately held family and founder-owned middle-market companies.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Project Management: Lead day-to-day project management for M&A transactions, ensuring timely and effective execution.
• Client Interface: Interface directly with clients and take a primary role in executing buy-side and sell-side M&A transactions.
• Financial Analysis: Oversee comprehensive financial modeling and detailed analysis to support transaction advisory.
• Business Development: Develop and participate in pitch presentations, identify new business opportunities, and cultivate business relationships.
• Team Leadership: Hire and train junior staff, reviewing their work product and contributing to marketing, process, and system improvements.

The Must-Haves
• Background: 4-year degree or MBA from a top-tier business school, with a focus on M&A advisory services.
• Experience: Six or more years of M&A advisory experience specifically serving privately owned companies in the middle market.
• Skills: Strong financial modeling, exceptional written and verbal communication, robust analytical and problem-solving, proven project management and leadership skills, and active Series 79 and 63 licenses.
• Bonus: Ability to independently lead M&A transactions with reasonable support from senior bankers, exercising sound judgment under pressure.
