This is a Litigation Paralegal role at Cyperus Group LLC, located in Los Angeles, CA or San Francisco, CA. Cyperus Group LLC operates a global Dispute Resolution practice, handling complex domestic and cross-border litigation for high-net-worth individuals, corporations, families, and government entities. This role is crucial for supporting attorneys across all phases of litigation, ensuring meticulous accuracy in document management, court filings, and deadline tracking. The Paralegal’s work directly contributes to the firm’s success in managing a diverse portfolio of commercial disputes, fraud matters, asset recovery, and regulatory investigations.

• Mission: Ensures efficient and accurate management of litigation documents, court filings, and case logistics to support successful dispute resolution.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Document Production Management: Oversee large-scale document productions from intake and processing to maintaining chain of custody and preparing privilege logs, including maintaining organized electronic and hard-copy case files across firm platforms.
• Court Filing Preparation and Execution: Assist attorneys in drafting and preparing court-ready documents such as statements and declarations, including preparing briefs and filings, ensuring meticulous proofreading, comprehensive cite checking, compiling exhibits and appendices, formatting to local rules, and executing filings in state and federal courts, as well as effectuating service.
• Research and Deadline Management: Conduct factual and legal research, including efficiently pulling cases from Westlaw, and meticulously track all litigation deadlines and maintain case calendars using firm systems to ensure timely action.
• Litigation and Trial Support: Provide comprehensive support for depositions, hearings, and conferences by compiling necessary materials and managing all logistical aspects, and assist extensively with trial, mediation, and arbitration preparation, which includes managing exhibits and organizing courtroom documents effectively.
• eDiscovery and Field Support: Offer support across various eDiscovery platforms as needed for case management, and occasionally travel to courthouses or agencies to file, retrieve, or deliver important documents.

• Background: Foundational knowledge and experience within litigation support and dispute resolution practices, including familiarity with the processes involved in handling complex domestic and cross-border litigation.
• Experience: Proven experience in managing large volumes of documents, preparing various types of court filings, and coordinating complex case logistics, with demonstrated ability to support attorneys across all phases of litigation.
• Skills: Exceptional attention to detail, particularly in ensuring meticulous accuracy in cite checking and proofreading, strong organizational and communication skills are essential, coupled with the ability to effectively manage multiple matters simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
