• Mission: To draft accurate and persuasive legal correspondence and memoranda to support business immigration matters and ensure adherence to government deadlines.
What You’ll Actually Do
• Draft legal documents: Draft correspondence and memoranda relevant to the firm’s business immigration practice.
• Collaborate with counsel: Collaborate closely with immigration attorneys on case strategies and document preparation.
• Manage deadlines: Ensure adherence to all government and internal deadlines for immigration matters.
• Conduct research: Research immigration law and investigate facts to support attorneys in various immigration matters.
• Prepare persuasive content: Translate facts into understandable, persuasive content for review by officers adjudicating immigration matters.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university, or a paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved program.
• Experience: 2+ years of paralegal experience specifically within a business immigration practice. Experience researching law, investigating facts, and preparing documents to assist attorneys with immigration matters.
• Skills: Excellent proofreading, editing, reading comprehension, and time management skills. Ability to translate facts into understandable, persuasive content for adjudicating officers.
