This position is crucial for supporting a busy litigation desk, playing a vital role in the management and progression of legal cases. The ideal candidate will ensure that attorneys are well-supported through meticulous execution of administrative and procedural tasks, directly impacting the efficiency and success of the firm’s litigation efforts.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Court Filings: Execute federal, state, and appellate court filings, ensuring adherence to all rules and procedures including e-filing.
• Trial Support: Conduct comprehensive trial preparation and provide direct assistance during trial proceedings.
• Document Preparation: Develop tables of contents and authorities, and prepare discovery shells for legal documents.
• Case Management: Oversee tasks and documentation across the entire litigation life cycle of a case.
• Document Review: Proofread and edit legal documents with meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.
The Must-Haves
• Background: An experienced professional with a minimum of 5 years of California litigation experience, possessing solid knowledge of federal, state, and appellate court filing rules and procedures, honed within a busy litigation environment.
• Experience: Proven hands-on experience in electronic filing procedures, comprehensive trial preparation, and providing direct support during trial proceedings, demonstrating a deep understanding of litigation processes.
• Skills: Demonstrated expertise in preparing critical legal documents such as tables of contents and authorities, drafting discovery shells, and expertly managing tasks throughout the full litigation life cycle of a case. This includes exceptional proofreading, writing, follow-up, initiative, organizational, and calendaring skills, along with proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and iManage or a similar document management system.
• Bonus: Knowledge of specialized legal software such as CompuLaw, Best Authority, Adobe Pro, and CCC Macros is a plus. The ideal candidate will also be collaborative, proactive, possess a positive attitude, have great communication skills, and be a true team player within the firm’s professional environment.
