What You’ll Actually Do
• Prepare for Trial: Drive comprehensive trial preparation efforts, including organizing documents, exhibits, and witness information to ensure readiness for court proceedings.
• Manage Case Files: Continuously review, update, and manage all assigned case files, maintaining accuracy and adherence to procedural requirements from inception through conclusion.
• Draft Discovery: Prepare initial discovery documents such as detailed interrogatories, requests for production, and requests for admissions; diligently journal deadlines and monitor responses for timely compliance.
• Prepare Legal Documents: Construct a variety of legal documents, including pleadings, comprehensive chronologies, and structured deposition and trial binders for attorney use.
• Investigate Facts: Conduct thorough factual investigations as directed by attorneys, utilizing advanced social media and internet research techniques to gather pertinent case information.
The Must-Haves
• Background: An experienced personal injury paralegal with a robust background in personal injury and wrongful death civil litigation.
• Experience: Demonstrated history of assisting attorneys in numerous complex cases, including direct involvement in at least 5 trials; proven experience with comprehensive trial preparation; working knowledge and practical experience with e-Filing in both State and Federal Court systems.
• Skills: Mandatory fluency in both English and Spanish; strong working knowledge of Florida Rules of Civil Procedure, Florida Rules of Evidence, and Rules of Professional Conduct; proven ability in advanced social media and internet investigation techniques relevant to legal fact-finding.
