PERM Paralegal 2 | Ogletree Deakins
The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Ogletree Deakins, a large international law firm with 60 offices across North America and Europe. The firm has one of the largest business immigration practices in the United States, providing legal services for employers seeking temporary business visas and permanent residence for foreign national employees. This role supports the business immigration practice group by preparing and filing high-volume PERM applications, directly contributing to strategies that facilitate the international transfer of skilled employees for numerous Fortune 500 companies and other clients.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Application Preparation: Prepare and file high-volume PERM applications under attorney supervision.
• Case Analysis: Compile and analyze case facts to support immigration applications.
• Correspondence Drafting: Draft various correspondence related to immigration cases.
• Documentation Management: Maintain and organize client documentation efficiently.
• Attorney Communication: Communicate directly with multiple attorneys regarding case progress and details.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university, or a paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved program, with a focus on employment-based immigration.
• Experience: 2+ years of employment-based Immigration Paralegal experience required, specifically complete-cycle PERM experience.
• Skills: Strong writing skills, excellent attention to detail, ability to multitask, ability to work independently toward team goals, outstanding organizational skills, and strong proficiency with MS Word, Outlook, INSZoom, and document management systems.
• Bonus: Experience preferably gained in a large law firm environment.
