Trademark Paralegal | Seminole Hard Rock Support Services
The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Seminole Hard Rock Support Services, located in Davie, Florida. Hard Rock International (HRI) is seeking an experienced individual to join its corporate headquarters legal team. This position is vital for assisting with the preparation and prosecution of trademarks both domestically and internationally, ensuring diligent brand protection. The role directly supports the management of HRI’s extensive intellectual property portfolio and contributes to corporate and transactional legal work, safeguarding the company’s global brand presence.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Trademark Prosecution: Prepare and file US and international trademark applications, along with all necessary maintenance documents such as statements of use, renewals, and declarations, and draft responses to office actions through the USPTO, Madrid Protocol, and foreign associates, ensuring follow-through to registration.
• Docket & File Management: Manage attorney dockets to ensure all intellectual property-related deadlines are met promptly, review files with the in-house attorney, and maintain organized foreign associate and vendor contact information.
• Brand Clearance & Enforcement: Perform comprehensive trademark searches, assist with due diligence reviews, analyze trademark watch notices, and report potential infringements and related matters to the in-house attorney and internal clients.
• Marketing & IP Compliance: Review marketing and promotional materials for proper usage of trademarks and other intellectual property, determine IP clearance needs for new initiatives, and draft basic terms for promotional offers.
• Legal Support & Training: Assist the in-house attorney with investigations and responses to consumer complaints or litigation related to intellectual property matters and marketing initiatives, while also helping to develop training materials, resources, and implement process improvements for IP, marketing, and branding teams.
The Must-Haves
• Background: A Bachelor’s Degree or Paralegal Certificate is preferred, combined with a minimum of 5 years of Intellectual Property experience focused on US and international trademark prosecution, demonstrating overall comprehensive knowledge of the intellectual property practice area.
• Experience: At least 5 years of experience specifically in Intellectual Property, with a strong knowledge of U.S. trademark prosecution procedures, TMO rules and forms, and familiarity with electronic filing with the USPTO, WIPO, and other foreign entities, including a thorough understanding of docketing policies and procedures related to TEAS, TSDR, and TTAB.
• Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, excellent proofreading abilities, highly organized, and a demonstrated capacity to work effectively and independently within a small team, managing multiple projects, competing timelines, and timely responding to deadlines while balancing workload.
• Bonus: Familiarity with electronic document management systems, WebTMS, and T360 is a plus.
