The Tone:
This is a full-time role at our client’s firm, a distinguished legal practice located in Florida. The firm specializes exclusively in profound personal injury and wrongful death civil litigation cases. This pivotal paralegal position is rarely available and offers a unique opportunity to work directly alongside prominent attorney John Phillips and an award-winning team. The individual in this role will be instrumental in meticulously managing critical cases and passionately assisting attorneys, ensuring the powerful stories of our clients are authentically told throughout the entire litigation process.

• Mission: To provide indispensable support to attorneys throughout the full lifecycle of personal injury and wrongful death cases, effectively managing details and aiding in the compelling presentation of client narratives.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Trial Preparation: Meticulously prepare and organize all necessary documentation, exhibits, and materials to ensure attorneys are fully equipped and ready for trial proceedings.
• Case File Management: Conduct continuous and thorough review, organization, and management of all active and ongoing case files, ensuring accuracy, accessibility, and compliance with established protocols.
• Discovery Drafting: Prepare comprehensive initial discovery documents, including detailed interrogatories, requests for production of documents, and requests for admissions, tailored to specific case needs.
• Deadline Oversight: Proactively journal and rigorously monitor all deadlines for discovery responses and other legal submissions, ensuring timely and compliant adherence to all procedural requirements.
• Document and Binder Production: Develop and compile critical legal documents, such as pleadings and chronologies, and assemble exhaustive deposition and trial binders specifically for attorney use.
• Factual Investigation: Conduct in-depth factual investigations as directed by attorneys, employing advanced social media and internet research techniques to uncover and verify pertinent information.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Hold a position as an experienced Mid-level to Senior Paralegal, bringing a robust background specifically within personal injury and wrongful death civil litigation.
• Experience: Demonstrate extensive experience assisting attorneys through all stages of numerous civil litigation cases, crucially including direct involvement and support for a minimum of 5 trials; possess a strong working knowledge and practical experience with e-Filing systems in both State and Federal Court systems.
• Skills: Exhibit complete fluency in both spoken and written English and Spanish; possess a comprehensive and applied knowledge of the Florida Rules of Civil Procedure, Rules of Evidence, and Rules of Professional Conduct; proficiently apply advanced social media and internet investigation techniques for legal fact-finding.
