Title Examiner – Tennessee (Remote) | First American
The Tone:
This is a remote role located in Tennessee for First American, a global title and escrow production support company within its National Production Services division. First American builds global title and escrow production support across various channels including Mortgage Services, Commercial, Direct, and Agency divisions. This role is crucial for leveraging research and analytical skills to verify property ownership, ensuring every title product issued is accurate and complete, and making a lasting impact on dreams of homeownership.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Review: Examine public records such as deeds, liens, mortgages, easements, and maps to confirm property ownership and identify potential issues.
• Resolve: Investigate and resolve discrepancies or missing information with precision and attention to detail.
• Compile: Create clear, organized summaries of findings to support title commitments and facilitate smooth closings.
• Communicate: Interact effectively with internal teams and other partners to clarify information or address title questions.
• Manage: Maintain a high level of quality and accuracy while overseeing multiple title orders simultaneously.
The Must-Haves
• Background: A high school diploma or equivalent, with core domain knowledge in title, legal, mortgage, or related administrative/research work.
• Experience: At least 2 years of experience in title, legal, mortgage, or related administrative/research work specifically within the state of Tennessee.
• Skills: Working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools; strong analytical, investigative, and problem-solving abilities; clear and professional written and verbal communication; a commitment to accuracy, thoroughness, and professionalism; familiarity with relevant legal and real estate terminology.
• Bonus: A love for solving puzzles and digging into details.
