Litigation Associate | Squire Patton Boggs
The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Squire Patton Boggs, located in Miami, FL. Squire Patton Boggs is a full-service global law firm with over 1,500 lawyers spanning more than 40 offices across four continents, providing comprehensive legal services where law, business, and government meet. This role is crucial for a junior to mid-level Litigation Associate to work on domestic and international litigation, frequently encountering Spanish language documents, contributing to the firm’s goal of achieving successful outcomes for clients.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Research: Conduct legal research to support various litigation matters.
• Drafting: Draft a range of legal documents for domestic and international cases.
• Discovery: Perform discovery activities and coordinate effectively with local counsel.
• Defense: Generally defend clients against litigation, overseeing cases from initial stages to completion.
• Management: For more senior candidates, manage the various aspects of commercial lawsuits.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Possess a Juris Doctor from an accredited law school with a strong academic record and excellent credentials.
• Experience: 1-5 years of experience at a top-tier firm and/or a judicial clerkship. Admission to the Florida Bar is required.
• Skills: Strong Spanish language fluency, excellent research and organizational skills, and strong verbal and written communication abilities. Ability to prioritize workload, display good judgment, and work well under pressure as a self-starter.
• Bonus: Courtroom and deposition experience is preferred. More senior candidates should have substantial experience managing commercial lawsuits; more junior candidates should have an exceptional academic record.
