Project Finance Analyst – SMR | Vallum Associates

The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Vallum Associates, located in Houston, TX. Vallum Associates is partnering with a renowned CCO that is actively building its Project Finance team within the Nuclear sector, specifically focusing on Small Modular Reactors (SMR). This role is crucial for developing new financing strategies for a brand new technology, placing the Project Finance Analyst at the forefront of the SMR industry. You will contribute to the creative and innovative approach taken in identifying financial pathways for this advanced technology.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Engage in Project Finance: Actively participate in project finance activities within the Nuclear sector.
• Interact with Investors: Communicate directly with various investors to explore and secure funding opportunities.
• Collaborate with Financiers: Work with financiers to discover new and effective methods of project financing.
• Develop Financing Strategies: Formulate and implement novel financing approaches for a brand new technology.
• Drive Industry Advancement: Contribute to the innovative development and leadership of the Small Modular Reactor (SMR) industry.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Professional with experience in the Utility Scale Solar market.
• Experience: Minimum of two years of professional experience in a project finance role. Prior experience with an Independent Power Producer (IPP), Developer, or Investment Bank is required.
• Skills: Demonstrated strong exposure to Financial Modeling, Tax Equity, and Transaction Structuring.
• Bonus: Previous professional background in the Renewables sector.
