Legal Assistant | Hirematic Talent Solutions

The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Hirematic Talent Solutions, located in Manhattan, New York. Hirematic Talent Solutions is hiring on behalf of a confidential client, a law firm. This role provides high-level administrative and legal support to attorneys, ensuring smooth operation of litigation and transactional legal teams. The position is essential for maintaining organization, managing communications, and supporting the daily demands of a busy legal practice.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Administrative Support: Provide proactive administrative and legal support to attorneys and practice groups, ensuring efficient workflows.
• Document Management: Prepare, edit, proofread, and format legal and administrative documents with precision and attention to detail.
• Calendar & Scheduling: Manage attorney calendars, schedule meetings and conference calls, track CLE, and arrange travel.
• Case File Maintenance: File legal documents electronically with courts and maintain organized physical and electronic case files.
• Billing Assistance: Support billing processes by entering attorney time, preparing billing reports, and responding to client billing inquiries.

The Must-Haves
• Background: High school diploma or equivalent required, with a preference for an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree. Core domain knowledge in legal administration within a law firm environment.
• Experience: 3+ years of legal assistant or administrative experience in a law firm. Experience supporting multiple attorneys is highly preferred.
• Skills: Legal Document Preparation, Electronic Court Filing, Calendar & Deadline Management, Microsoft Office Suite, Client Communication.
• Bonus: Experience with legal document management or practice management systems (e.g., iManage, InTapp, Kofax/Nuance, or LMS+). Experience supporting litigation or corporate legal teams. Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
