Contract and Compliance Specialist | AHIP

This is a full-time role at AHIP, located in Washington, DC. This position plays a vital part in supporting the in-house legal team by ensuring the organization meticulously manages its contracts and maintains rigorous compliance with all contractual and regulatory requirements, directly contributing to AHIP’s influential mission.

• Mission: Support the in-house legal team in managing contracts and ensuring enterprise-wide compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Manage Compliance Documentation: Document, organize, track, and maintain organizational compliance with all contractual and regulatory requirements.
• Oversee Vendor Compliance: Document, organize, track, and maintain compliance of third-party vendors with the organization’s contractual and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate Compliance Responses: Gather and organize information necessary to respond to compliance obligations, including external audits, risk assessments, and attestation requirements.
• Review and Finalize Contracts: Conduct preliminary reviews of contracts to identify variations from templates, issue spot, and finalize agreements with version management and proofing.
• Enhance Contract Management: Support the legal department in leveraging contract and compliance software platforms and identifying best practices in contracting, including using clause libraries.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s Degree and/or equivalent experience in a legal or compliance-related field.
• Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience working with contracts and contract management. Additionally, a certification as a project manager or 1 year of experience with project management is required.
• Skills: Strong organizational skills, strong writing skills, strong analytic skills, and proficiency with productivity tools, including databases and AI.
