Legal Administrative Assistant | Tesoro Law

The Tone:
This is a full-time, on-site role at Tesoro Law, located in Downtown Orlando, Florida. Tesoro Law is a firm dedicated to Family Law, Personal Injury, and Civil Litigation, providing expert guidance to clients through complex legal matters. This position is vital for supporting attorneys by managing administrative tasks and organizing legal documentation. The role ensures that the firm operates efficiently and maintains its commitment to thorough, client-centered service.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Prepare and organize a variety of legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and correspondence, for attorney review and filing.
• Manage and update attorney calendars, scheduling hearings, depositions, and client meetings.
• Maintain comprehensive and organized digital and physical case files for active matters.
• Serve as a primary contact point, handling incoming calls and emails from clients and external parties.
• Coordinate logistical details with clients, courts, opposing counsel, and other law firms to facilitate case progression.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Foundational knowledge of legal procedures and familiarity with Family Law principles.
• Experience: Proficiency with Microsoft Office and familiarity with legal practice management systems. Previous experience in a law firm or legal environment is preferred.
• Skills: Strong legal document preparation skills, including drafting, formatting, and proofreading for accuracy. Excellent written and verbal communication skills for professional interactions. Strong administrative and organizational skills, including calendar management, file organization, and deadline tracking. High attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple matters and deadlines simultaneously.
• Bonus: An associate’s or bachelor’s degree in a related field. Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish.
