Employee Relations Paralegal | Work Shield

The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Work Shield, located in Dallas, Texas. As an Employee Relations Paralegal, you will be an integral part of the growing Investigations Team, managing sensitive workplace matters with professionalism and discretion, and contributing significantly to the company’s success and vision.

• Mission: This person screens, assigns, and coordinates complex workplace incidents to ensure efficient and compliant resolution for clients.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Incident Coordination: Pre-screen, assign, and coordinate complex and sensitive workplace incidents, including Title VII, Title IX, retaliation, and other misconduct, for client employee populations.
• Documentation & Reporting: Prepare and organize incident case documentation, including reports related to employee relations and workplace investigations, while gathering and reporting on established Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
• Case Management System Administration: Maintain and ensure accurate, timely recordkeeping and data analysis within case management systems, including collaborative data analysis of KPIs and incident information.
• Cross-functional Liaison: Serve as a primary liaison between the investigations and client success teams, ensuring seamless and compliant incident case management, resolution, and communication.
• Client Engagement & Support: Assist with new client onboarding, train client HR partners on Work Shield’s case management processes, and provide both administrative and strategic support to investigation teams.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university. 3–5+ years of experience as a paralegal or employee relations specialist with exposure to employment matters and/or workplace investigations.
• Experience: 3–5+ years of experience partnering with HR or handling employee relations cases. Proficient in case management systems with experience in HR and/or Employee Relations matters.
• Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong attention to detail, ability to exercise sound judgment and discretion in handling confidential matters, strong technology capabilities in running reports, gathering data, and providing quick analysis, experienced use of Excel and Excel Reporting.
• Bonus: Certification in Paralegal Studies, Bi-lingual (English/Spanish).
