Remote California General Liability Paralegal | MG+M The Law Firm
The Tone:
This is a full-time role at MG+M The Law Firm, working remotely to support California offices. MG+M is a nationally renowned litigation law firm concentrating on complex civil matters, with expertise focused in toxic tort, complex product liability, local government, general liability, and commercial litigation. This role is crucial for the General Liability practice group, enabling efficient case management for a Senior Managing Partner and contributing to the firm’s goal of delivering optimal results for clients.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Docket Management: Oversee and coordinate a high-volume General Liability docket for a Senior Managing Partner.
• Case Coordination: Serve as the primary liaison between attorneys, legal administrative assistants, and other paralegals to ensure efficient case management.
• Litigation Handling: Manage multiple complex litigation matters simultaneously.
• Document Drafting: Prepare initial drafts of pre-trial motions, dispositive motions, and other pleadings.
• Discovery Evaluation: Review and evaluate discovery documents, including medical, sales, and employment records, and compose case assessments for attorneys.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s Degree required, with a deep understanding of General Liability Defense litigation.
• Experience: Minimum of 5+ years in General Liability Defense litigation. Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel), Westlaw, PACER, and File & Serve Xpress. Experience handling California litigation is strongly preferred.
• Skills: Ability to manage a large caseload with accuracy and attention to detail; excellent written and verbal communication skills for interfacing with legal professionals; strong organizational skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines; strong problem-solving skills.
