Litigation Paralegal | D3 Search
The Tone:
This is a full-time, direct-hire Litigation Paralegal role for a prominent CA-based full-service law practice, located in West Los Angeles, CA (90067), with a flexible hybrid work model of four days onsite and one day remote. The firm has a long-standing presence and is seeking support for its small internal civil litigation team. This position is critical for managing various aspects of civil litigation cases, from document management and discovery to client and expert communication, ensuring the efficient progression of legal matters.

• Mission: To provide essential paralegal support for civil litigation cases, ensuring effective document management, discovery processes, and client communication.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Document Management: Collect, produce, rename, and organize case documents within client files and specific review platforms.
• Discovery Coordination: Manage discovery processes, including drafting initial disclosures and other discovery-related documents, and tracking responses.
• Case File Organization: Set up and maintain client files in Filevine, updating estimates, reports, party information, and creating deadline chains.
• Expert & Client Communication: Coordinate expert assignments and inspections, communicate with clients regarding estimates, and follow up on outstanding tasks.
• Correspondence Drafting: Prepare various correspondence, including Letters of Representation and client welcome letters.
The Must-Haves
• Background: An Associate degree in paralegal or legal studies or a paralegal certificate.
• Experience: Four or more years of relevant civil litigation experience and expertise; practical experience with Relativity, DISCO, and/or Everlaw for document management.
• Skills: Document collection and production, discovery management, client communication, legal file organization, and drafting legal correspondence.
• Bonus: A Bachelor’s degree in paralegal or legal studies is preferred.
