This position is central to managing a wide array of complex legal and regulatory matters, including antitrust issues, government investigations, and various litigation types. • Team: The Litigation & Regulatory Operations team is a growing group that supports Amazon’s diverse legal needs across complex matters, working closely with attorneys and cross-functional partners.
• Mission: This person solves the problem of efficiently managing complex legal and regulatory matters by designing and implementing AI-driven solutions to automate workflows, enhance data analysis, and drive operational efficiency across the legal team.
• Tech Stack: Amazon Kiro, Amazon Quick, Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, SharePoint, PowerPoint), Amazon’s internal database software programs, AI-assisted document management solutions, AI-driven review platforms.
What You’ll Actually Do
• Fact-Finding and Analysis: Conduct comprehensive fact-finding and data analysis, developing a thorough understanding of case issues and claims, utilizing AI tools to accelerate research and identify patterns across large datasets.
• AI Solution Development: Design and implement AI solutions using Amazon services, specifically Amazon Kiro and Amazon Quick, to automate workflows, enhance data analysis capabilities, and improve overall operational efficiency within the legal team.
• Legal Hold and Data Management: Draft legal hold notices, collect necessary data from various tools and business partner teams, and organize voluminous case materials using Amazon’s internal database software programs and AI-assisted document management solutions.
• Vendor and Counsel Management: Manage outside counsel on data requests and actively collaborate with eDiscovery vendors on document collections and productions, including the use of AI-driven review platforms.
• Litigation Support and Optimization: Provide end-to-end legal support for litigation matters from inception to closure, including discovery, summary judgment work, and hearing preparation, while also driving best practices such as AI adoption and workflow optimization.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Early Career professional with foundational knowledge in litigation, specifically within antitrust, government regulatory, or other complex litigation matters.
• Experience: 5+ years of experience as a paralegal, in legal program management, or in legal case management, with demonstrated capability in applying AI for legal research, contract analysis, or document review processes.
• Skills: Knowledge of ethical considerations surrounding AI in the legal context (confidentiality, accuracy, bias prevention), ability to use AI for legal research, contract analysis, or document review, and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, SharePoint, PowerPoint).
• Bonus: A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent educational background, experience in ownership of projects and communicating timelines with independent execution, the proven ability to manage a high volume of requests and competing deadlines effectively, and strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective English communication abilities, both written and verbal.
