The Tone:
This is a full-time role at a confidential California-based plaintiffs-side litigation practice, located in Greater Los Angeles, CA. The firm is seeking a junior associate attorney to support a busy civil litigation docket. This role is crucial for managing active matters in state and federal courts, offering meaningful responsibility in complex, high-stakes cases focused on consumer and employment class and representative actions.

• Mission: Support a busy civil litigation docket in state and federal courts, focusing on consumer and employment class and representative actions.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Pleadings and Discovery: Draft and revise pleadings, written discovery, and discovery responses.
• Case Management: Support document review, case organization, and litigation timelines on complex matters.
• Motion Practice: Research and draft motions, oppositions, replies, and supporting declarations.
• Court Preparation: Prepare for hearings, mediations, and other court proceedings.
• Deposition Support: Assist with deposition preparation and participate in depositions as needed.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Juris Doctor from an accredited law school; Active California Bar admission, or pending admission.
• Experience: 1 to 3 years of civil litigation experience; Experience with discovery and motion practice; Ability to travel occasionally.
• Skills: Strong legal writing; Effective communication; Client-facing professionalism.
• Bonus: Court appearances and oral advocacy experience; Deposition experience; Interest in employment law and complex plaintiffs-side litigation.
