This Subrogation Specialist position is crucial for managing casualty and estate functions related to state and deceased Medicaid beneficiaries, ensuring compliance and driving recovery outcomes.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Case Management: Oversee a high volume of 700–1,000 subrogation cases, conducting analytical reviews to notate files and drive recovery outcomes.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Professionally interact with attorneys, insurance adjusters, medical providers, and family members, primarily through inbound and outbound calls.
• Documentation & Filing: Prepare and process all necessary documentation, including correspondence, liens, and claims, and execute and file notarized documents.
• Settlement Negotiation: Negotiate and settle claim or lien amounts in accordance with established contractual guidelines.
• Compliance & Prioritization: Ensure all processes comply with HIPAA and government security standards, while prioritizing critical case events and revenue-impacting deadlines.

The Must-Haves
• Background: High School Diploma/GED required, with a focus on processing functions related to Medicaid beneficiaries.
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in a related field.
• Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, professional communication skills, and exceptional attention to detail.
• Bonus: Experience in a legal office (paralegal or legal assistant) or the insurance industry (casualty or health insurance), knowledge of Medicaid and/or Medicare, and basic knowledge of Microsoft Access.
