What You’ll Actually Do
• Document Management: Draft, proofread, and format pleadings and legal documents with precision and professionalism.
• Court Filings: Manage electronic filing of legal documents in both Federal and State courts, ensuring compliance with all procedural requirements.
• Calendar & Meetings: Coordinate in-person and virtual meetings, including scheduling, room reservations, catering, and IT support, while maintaining attorney calendars and schedules with timely reminders.
• Administrative Support: Provide daily administrative and clerical support to assigned attorneys, including preparing and submitting electronic expense reports and arranging travel logistics.
• File Organization: Organize and maintain electronic and paper files using NetDocuments, analyzing and saving key correspondence and emails using standardized naming conventions.
The Must-Haves
• Background: High School Diploma or GED required, focusing on litigation legal support for an active legal team.
• Experience: Minimum of 5+ years of experience as a litigation legal assistant.
• Skills: Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize effectively; excellent written and verbal communication skills, including grammar and proofreading; proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Bonus: Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred; advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills; experience with NetDocuments or similar document management systems; experience in Complex Litigation and Trial matters.
