Financial Analyst | NetApp
The Tone:
This is a hybrid Financial Analyst role at NetApp, requiring 3 days a week in the office in Raleigh, NC, or San Jose, CA. What You’ll Actually Do
• Budget Management: Partner with IT, Cybersecurity, and Business Process leaders to plan, manage, and forecast operational expenditure budgets.
• Insight Delivery: Deliver clear, actionable insights on spend trends, variances, and risks to inform strategic decision-making.
• Process Improvement: Improve forecasting accuracy and reporting processes through thoughtful analysis, simplification, and identifying opportunities to enhance transparency, controls, and cost optimization.
• Financial Reporting: Support monthly and quarterly close activities, including thorough variance analysis and comprehensive reporting.
• Model Development: Build and maintain financial models to evaluate cost efficiency and investment trade-offs across various initiatives.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field.
• Experience: Typically 5 years of relevant experience in financial analysis or business partnering roles, including budgeting, forecasting, or financial analysis within corporate, consulting, or related environments.
• Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail, the capacity to translate complex financial data into clear, actionable insights, effective communication for cross-functional collaboration, and proficiency in Excel alongside familiarity with financial systems or data tools.
• Bonus: A growth mindset, willingness to learn new tools, processes, and business contexts, and comfort working in an evolving environment with changing priorities.
