Strategic Finance Analyst II (Revenue) | Affirm
The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Affirm, located remotely across the U.S. Affirm is actively reinventing credit to make it more honest and friendly, offering consumers flexibility to buy now and pay later without hidden fees or compounding interest. The Finance team ensures Affirm remains financially sound and strategically positioned for growth, delivering timely insights and accurate reporting. This role is crucial within the Strategic Finance team, supporting the growth of Affirm’s top-line revenue streams, particularly with large business-to-business (B2B) merchant partners, driving company strategy and empowering executive decision-making.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Partnering: Partner with cross-functional leaders from Product, Growth Analytics, Credit, Revenue, and Merchant Pricing teams to drive specific business outcomes through strategic and analytic support.
• Modeling: Build and meticulously maintain comprehensive financial models used to forecast future performance, reconcile past results, and clearly describe variances for Affirm’s full gamut of metrics.
• Collaborating: Actively collaborate with Affirm’s ML modeling team to effectively marry financial modeling outputs with aggregated machine learning forecasts, enhancing accuracy and insights.
• Reporting: Establish critical top-line performance metrics and set ambitious targets. This includes analyzing and reporting realized financial performance directly to Executives and other company leaders, driving accountability for results across the organization.
• Automating: Design and deliver scalable automated user and financial dashboards and analytics, tailored for consumption across various internal departments and by executive leadership.

• Background: This role is suitable for a professional with a strong analytical mindset, intellectual curiosity, and a drive to disrupt the lending and financial industry for the better. Candidates should possess a strong sense of ownership and an ability to think creatively and critically, thriving in a fast-paced, dynamic, and often ambiguous work environment.
• Experience: A minimum of 2 years of experience is required in fast-paced analytical roles, such as strategic finance, investment banking, consulting, or data science and analytics.
• Skills: Exceptional analytical skills are essential, coupled with the ability to synthesize complex financial information into clear, concise reports. High attention to detail is critical, balanced with an equally important ability to see the big picture and evaluate analyses within a strategic business context. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are also necessary to navigate cross-functional collaborations effectively and present directly to company executives. Excellent working proficiency in Excel (demonstrated via a financial model case study), comfort with SQL, Sigma, Cursor, and/or other data visualization tools are required.
• Bonus: Experience with merchant payments and/or providing analytical support to B2B client relationship and sales teams is a plus. Curiosity to build things (processes, models, etc.) with, for, or around AI is also valued, and Python knowledge is a plus.
