Investment Banking Analyst, Energy – Houston | Santander US

What You’ll Actually Do
• Deal Support: Support deal execution by preparing pitch books, client presentations, and transaction materials.
• Valuation Analysis: Perform detailed valuation analysis, including discounted cash flow, trading comparables, transaction comparables, and LBO analysis.
• Due Diligence: Manage due diligence processes and coordinate across internal teams and client counterparties.
• Client Engagement: Actively participate in client meetings and deal discussions, engaging directly with senior bankers and clients.
• Research & Strategy: Conduct in-depth industry and company research to support origination and client strategy.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, STEM, or a related field, with a strong understanding of corporate finance and investment banking products.
• Experience: 1-3 years of Investment banking experience or 1-3 years of relevant experience in corporate finance, accounting/audit, or within the energy or infrastructure sector.
• Skills: Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint, including financial modeling and valuation; strong communication and interpersonal skills; high ownership mindset.
• Bonus: Established work history demonstrated through work experience, training, military service, or education; FINRA licenses (SIE, Series 63, Series 79) or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire.
