Vice President – TMT Corporate Coverage | BNP Paribas
The Tone:

This position is crucial for the North American Technology, Media, and Telecommunications Corporate Coverage platform, which is responsible for advising market-leading mid-to-mega cap corporates and delivering the bank’s comprehensive solutions. The role requires a seasoned professional who can drive outcomes, lead projects, build strong client relationships, and uphold high ethical standards within a collaborative environment.

• Mission: Responsible for advising and delivering the Bank’s full solutions to mid-to-mega cap, market-leading corporates within the North American Technology, Media, and Telecommunications sectors.
• Tech Stack: Microsoft OS (Word, Excel, Power Point), Bloomberg, Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system
What You’ll Actually Do
• Deal Support: Help prepare and contribute to deal pitches, including idea generation, research, and analysis of companies and industries.
• Financial Modeling: Prepare and review complex financial models, including valuation and merger consequences analysis, providing industry intelligence and competitive analysis.
• Client Management: Work in close partnership with Managing Directors, Directors, and Vice Presidents to manage client relationships and deliverables.
• Team Leadership: Oversee, train, mentor, and coach analysts and associates in the preparation and analysis of pitch and transaction materials.
• Sector Expertise: Maintain sectorial expertise for TMT, serve as an internal resource for BNP Paribas globally, and develop product understanding with specialists.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree; 5+ years of experience in Corporate or Investment Banking, demonstrating a senior career level in financial services.
• Experience: 5+ years of knowledge in Americas markets; required to obtain SIE, Series 79, and Series 63 FINRA registrations within three months if not already licensed.
• Skills: Strong modeling and valuation skills, credit skills, analytical skills, and effective negotiation skills; strong verbal/written communication and interpersonal abilities are essential.
• Bonus: Prior TMT sector experience is preferred.
