The U.S. Aerospace, Defense and Government Services team within Macquarie Capital provides M&A advisory, capital raising, and principal finance solutions to corporate and sponsor clients globally. This Director role is critical for leading transaction origination and execution, engaging directly with clients, and delivering high-quality advisory services to drive innovation and growth in these key sectors.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Transaction Leadership: Lead and engage in all aspects of transaction origination and execution, including deal structuring and negotiations, ensuring high-quality advisory services for corporate and financial sponsor clients.
• Client & Business Development: Lead and engage in client discussions and business development activities, communicating market dynamics and transaction activity to clients and internal stakeholders.
• Process & Team Management: Manage comprehensive transaction processes, coordinate deal teams, and oversee due diligence activities.
• Financial Analysis & Presentation: Oversee the preparation of detailed valuation materials, complex financial models, and compelling presentations.
• Stakeholder Interface: Interface with legal, accounting, and transaction counterparties while maintaining rigorous control over timelines and deliverables for all projects.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate on cross-functional teams, including Macquarie Capital’s direct lending, principal investment, and other industry sector teams.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Director-level professional with expertise in investment banking and/or corporate finance.
• Experience: 9-12 years in investment banking and/or similar corporate finance roles, with M&A experience highly valued.
• Skills: Strong financial modeling capabilities, comprehensive understanding of financial statements, accounting, and finance principles, alongside exceptional attention to detail, work ethic, and time/process management skills.
