The Tone:

The firm is seeking an experienced Litigation Assistant to provide essential support. This role is crucial for enabling three busy trial attorneys to manage their caseloads effectively by handling critical administrative and litigation tasks. The individual will ensure the smooth operation of daily legal activities and trial preparations.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Manage heavy court filings across state, federal, and appellate jurisdictions.
• Draft and revise legal documents, including pleadings with tables of authorities, correspondence, court forms, and memoranda.
• Conduct conflicts checks, open new client matters, and obtain conflicts waivers.
• Prepare and serve discovery documents and assist attorneys with arranging and preparing for depositions.
• Coordinate all aspects of trial preparation, provide onsite trial support, and retrieve/assemble exhibits and hearing binders.

The Must-Haves
• Background: An experienced Litigation Assistant with a minimum of 5 years of litigation support experience.
• Experience: At least 5 years of litigation support experience and proven courtroom trial experience.
• Skills: Proficiency in heavy court filings (state, federal, appellate), drafting and revising pleadings, conducting conflicts checks, and managing attorney billings and expense reports.
• Bonus: Experience with iTimekeep and NetDocuments.
