Operations Paralegal | Morgan & Morgan, P.A.

The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Morgan & Morgan, P.A. The firm is dedicated to protecting consumers, serving as a last line of defense against insurance companies, large corporations, and defective goods across all 50 states. This role contributes directly to the firm’s mission of “For the People” by ensuring efficient operations within the Personal Injury Operations Department. The Operations Paralegal plays a critical part in helping cases move forward effectively, supporting attorneys, and maintaining the highest standards of client service.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Operations Management: Oversee multiple project activities to achieve strategic objectives for the Personal Injury Operations Department.
• Case Progression: Provide operational oversight of attorneys, managing calendars for depositions, contacting courts, and coordinating with defense counsel to keep cases moving forward.
• Process Improvement: Establish and execute additional processes, potentially through auditing attorney and staff tasks, to ensure proactive and efficient operations.
• Deadline Adherence: Ensure attorney cases are filed within 90 days, setting and following up on deadlines to ensure timely completion.
• Trial Support: Assist in preparing for trials by ensuring attorneys follow all necessary steps, coordinating witnesses, and managing pre-trial activities.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Paralegal degree or certification from an accredited institute of learning, or similar experience, with comprehensive knowledge of legal terminology and Florida law.
• Experience: Three to five (3-5) years of paralegal experience.
• Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, impeccable organizational skills and attention to detail, ability to multitask in a fast-paced organization, PC Literate with Microsoft Office Programs.
