The Tone:
This is a hybrid role at Plona Partners, located in Dallas, TX. Plona Partners is a dedicated legal firm specializing in labor and employment litigation. This role is crucial for providing essential support to a team of 4-5 attorneys, ensuring efficient operation and successful case management within the firm’s labor and employment practice. The Litigation Paralegal will play a key part in maintaining the smooth workflow and upholding the firm’s core values in all professional activities.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Comprehensive Attorney Support: Provide dedicated administrative and logistical support to a team of 4-5 attorneys, including both partners and associates, managing their daily operational needs to ensure efficient case progression.
• Meticulous Case Management: Oversee critical administrative tasks such as precise calendaring, diligent matter tracking, and proactive deadline reminders for all assigned cases.
• Document & Filing Proficiency: Prepare, review, and organize a variety of legal documents, expertly executing accurate and timely filings in both state and federal court systems, adhering strictly to all protocols.
• Research and Communication Hub: Conduct essential legal research using Westlaw, facilitate clear and professional communication with courts and clients, and manage information flow effectively.
• Collaborative & Values-Driven Work: Prioritize and manage multiple projects and deadlines while also providing support to other attorneys and paralegals as needed, always upholding the firm’s core values in all professional activities.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Requires a High School diploma or equivalent. Candidates must possess extensive, in-depth knowledge of the court system, including comprehensive understanding of court filing procedures, related programs and tools, established court protocols, and critical deadlines for both state and federal jurisdictions.
• Experience: A minimum of 3-5 years of direct, hands-on experience in commercial litigation. Demonstrated proficiency as a highly skilled typist, alongside advanced experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook), Adobe products, and established document management systems like iManage.
• Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills are essential for clear and professional interactions with attorneys, clients, and court personnel. Must be highly organized with a keen, meticulous attention to detail, and possess a proven ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues at all levels within the firm.
