What You’ll Actually Do
• Document Preparation: Prepare legal documents and review closing and title files for accuracy, consistency, and compliance with applicable laws and company policies.
• File Management: Organize and maintain case and file documentation, coordinating all transaction-related paperwork.
• Research & Analysis: Conduct research on property records, legal issues, and applicable regulations to support real estate title and closing processes.
• Stakeholder Communication: Communicate with clients, lenders, attorneys, and internal team members to gather information, clarify requirements, and resolve transaction-related issues.
• Closing & Process Support: Assist with scheduling closings, track critical deadlines, and contribute to process improvements within the office environment.
The Must-Haves
• Background: A foundation in law and real estate-related legal concepts, with the ability to apply them to title and closing work.
• Experience: Relevant experience as a paralegal or title/real estate legal assistant preferred; the company is willing to train the right person.
• Skills: Proficiency in legal document preparation and document review; effective communication skills for diverse stakeholders; research skills for property records and legal issues; strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple files and deadlines.
• Bonus: A paralegal certificate or relevant academic background in legal studies; comfort with office technology and title or closing software.
