What You’ll Actually Do
• Case Management: Provide comprehensive support to attorneys in the daily management of personal injury litigation matters, contributing to efficient case progression.
• Client Communication & Intake: Coordinate initial client intake and ongoing follow-up communications with clients, ensuring they are informed throughout the litigation process.
• Document Preparation & Filing: Draft various correspondence and assist attorneys with the preparation of pleadings, motions, and other legal filings. This includes preparing and filing court documents, adhering strictly to compliance deadlines and procedural requirements.
• Records & Evidence Organization: Systematically review, organize, and accurately summarize all pertinent medical records and billing documentation essential for case development.
• Scheduling & Trial Support: Manage attorney calendars, critical deadlines, and scheduling requirements. Additionally, support attorneys through all phases of trial preparation and discovery processes, while meticulously maintaining accurate and organized case files.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Requires a minimum of 2 years of experience working as a litigation paralegal, specifically within personal injury law.
• Skills: Possess strong organizational skills, meticulous attention to detail, and excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Work Style: Comfortable working independently while maintaining close collaboration with attorneys, and adept at adapting to an evolving work environment.
• Tech Proficiency: Demonstrated proficiency in using Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Bonus: Spanish-speaking skills are considered a valuable asset for this role.
