Legal Assistant | DORDICK LAW CORPORATION

The Tone:
This is a full-time, in-person role at Dordick Law Corporation, located in downtown Los Angeles or Beverly Hills. Dordick Law Corporation is an award-winning civil litigation personal injury law firm, specializing in catastrophic personal injury, negligence, product defects, and road design. This role supports an exceptionally talented team of dedicated legal practitioners, focusing on the quality of cases accepted rather than volume, within a family-owned firm.

• Mission: This person supports legal practitioners by managing discovery processes, coordinating key legal events, and preparing essential case documents to ensure efficient progression of personal injury litigation.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Availability Management: Manage scheduling and coordination for client depositions, pre-depositions, and pre-depo calls with providers.
• Discovery Preparation: Prepare the non-retained portion of Form Interrogatory 2034 and complete FROG Questionnaires and verification forms.
• Case Documentation: Create and maintain discovery charts, prepare discovery shells, depo summaries, and discovery response summaries.
• Court Filings & Service: Draft requests for dismissals or default (with direction), serve subpoena objections for records and depositions, and serve complaints with statements of damages.
• Hearing & Trial Support: Obtain Court Call and Court Connect information for hearings, execute stipulations to continue trials, and obtain mediator availability.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Experienced professional with a minimum of 2 years in litigation, specifically with prior plaintiff experience. A college degree is required, unless experience in the legal field exceeds 5 years.
• Experience: Demonstrated proficiency with Office365 and CRM/CMS platforms. Proven familiarity with the California Code of Civil Procedure and Local Rules.
• Skills: Highly organized, detail-oriented, punctual, and possessing excellent time management abilities. Must be interested in career growth within the legal profession.
• Bonus: Bilingual Spanish proficiency is a plus.
