Intern, Finance | Silvus Technologies

The Tone:
This is a full-time internship at Silvus Technologies, located fully onsite in West Los Angeles. Silvus Technologies, a subsidiary of Motorola Solutions, builds advanced MANET and MIMO communications systems, providing crucial mesh network technology for mission-critical applications across defense, law enforcement, and public safety globally. This role matters as you will gain practical, real-world experience in corporate finance, developing analytical and organizational skills to support business decision-making and help the company in its prime directive of “Keeping Our Heroes Connected.”

The TL;DR

• Pay: $24.60 – $42.10 hourly
• Team: Reports to the FP&A Director on the FP&A team.
• Mission: Gain practical, real-world experience in corporate finance and support business decision-making through financial data, reporting, and presentations.
• Tech Stack: Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint

What You’ll Actually Do
• Update: Regularly update and refresh recurring financial slide decks, charts, and tables for senior leadership presentations.
• Input: Accurately input financial metrics and analytical insights into PowerPoint slides and presentation templates.
• Organize: Gather, organize, and prepare financial data from various sources for cross-functional initiatives.
• Summarize: Help prepare summaries of financial information and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for review by senior team members.
• Validate: Ensure financial data accuracy and maintain high standards of visual clarity and formatting consistency in presentation materials.

The Must-Haves
• Background: In-progress Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in Accounting, Economics, or other related fields.
• Experience: Foundational knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint, with a sharp eye for formatting and data presentation. Must be a U.S. Person (U.S. Citizen or U.S. Permanent Resident) due to U.S. federal contracts.
• Skills: A strong analytical mindset, high degree of attention to detail, organizational skills, and excellent verbal and written communications skills.
• Bonus: Prior experience creating or editing business/financial presentations, coursework or exposure to basic corporate finance concepts and financial statements, or previous internship or leadership experience.
