Grad Intern, TV Production Finance – Fall 2026 | Legendary Entertainment
The Tone:
This is a part-time internship at Legendary Entertainment, located in Burbank, CA. Legendary Entertainment is a leading media company with film, television, digital, and comics divisions, dedicated to owning, producing, and delivering content to worldwide audiences. They have built a library of marquee media properties and are known for consistently delivering high-quality, commercial entertainment. This role is crucial for supporting project-based initiatives within the TV Production Finance department, specifically by advancing AI-assisted budgeting, incentive research, and production finance automation projects.

• Team: Reports to the EVP, Head of Production Finance
• Mission: Advance AI-assisted budgeting, incentive research, and production finance automation projects within the TV Production Finance department.
• Tech Stack: Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft Office applications, department-developed AI tools
What You’ll Actually Do
• Map budget structures: Map historical TV budget structures, chart-of-account categories, and production assumptions to support AI-assisted budgeting workflows.
• Build data files: Build and maintain structured data files used for budget normalization, account mapping, assumptions tracking, and variance review.
• Support incentive research: Support incentive research and documentation by using department-developed AI tools to gather, organize, and summarize production incentive requirements, subject to Production Finance review.
• Test workflows: Test AI prompts, spreadsheet models, and workflow prototypes, then document outputs, limitations, exceptions, and recommended human review controls.
• Prepare summaries: Prepare concise summaries and process notes that translate technical findings into practical recommendations for the Production Finance team.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Graduate student preferred, ideally pursuing finance, accounting, business analytics, information systems, data analytics, or a related field; current college/university enrollment or recent graduate status.
• Experience: Strong Excel skills required; familiarity with PowerPoint and general Microsoft Office applications required.
• Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to document assumptions and escalate questions appropriately; interest in television production finance, budgeting, production incentives, financial systems, AI tools and data-driven process improvement.
• Bonus: A GPA of 3.5 or above is highly preferred.
