Financial Analyst – Hybrid | Vaco by Highspring

The Tone:
This is a hybrid role with Vaco by Highspring. This position plays a central role in supporting financial planning, reporting, and analysis for an organization. The Financial Analyst will provide critical insights that drive informed business decisions and contribute to enhancing overall business performance and visibility. This role involves close partnership with accounting teams, business units, and corporate shared services to analyze trends and monitor key performance indicators across the business.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Performance Analysis: Analyze, summarize, and report financial performance, key performance indicators (KPIs), and business trends for operating companies and corporate shared services.
• Financial Planning: Support budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning processes, including variance analysis and identifying trends and opportunities.
• Month-End Close: Assist with monthly financial close activities, including preparation and/or review of journal entries, reconciliations, financial analysis, and reporting.
• Model Development: Develop financial models and provide analytical support for business initiatives, investments, and ad hoc projects.
• Process Enhancement: Identify opportunities to improve reporting processes, data analysis, and financial visibility.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
• Experience: Minimum of 2+ years of experience in finance, accounting, financial analysis, or a related field.
• Skills: Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills; ability to analyze financial data, identify trends, and communicate insights effectively; strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams; proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience working with ERP or financial reporting systems.
