Analyst/Associate, Software and Services M&A | Macquarie Group
The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Macquarie Group, primarily based in the New York City Metropolitan Area, with the U.S. Software and Services team also operating out of Chicago. The U.S. Software and Services team specifically provides comprehensive investment banking and principal investment solutions to clients on a global basis. What You’ll Actually Do
• Client Relationship Management: Assist clients in meeting their financial and strategic needs by providing support and insights.
• Transaction Execution: Participate actively in the full execution cycle of advisory, capital raising, and principal transactions.
• Business Development: Engage in the pursuit of new business opportunities, helping to expand the team’s reach and impact.
• Investment Servicing: Contribute to the servicing of existing portfolio investments, including both debt and equity positions.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Requires a Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, or mathematics, providing a foundational understanding relevant to investment banking.
• Experience: 1-4 years of experience within investment banking, with a demonstrated proficiency in using Microsoft Office applications and constructing financial models.
• Skills: Possess a strong understanding of financial statements, accounting principles, and core finance concepts.
• Bonus: Prior M&A experience specifically within the Software, Business Services, or Technology, Media, Telecom sectors is preferred.
