What You’ll Actually Do
Close & Report: Perform monthly financial close activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analysis, culminating in critical reporting outputs.
Financial Documentation: Prepare and meticulously maintain financial schedules, comprehensive reports, and detailed analyses for both internal management and external stakeholders.
Audit Compliance: Support internal and external audits by gathering and providing clear, well-organized documentation and concise explanations.
Data-Driven Improvement: Analyze extensive datasets to uncover financial trends, identify potential risks, and pinpoint opportunities for process enhancements and automation.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with diverse teams across the organization to improve financial reporting accuracy and drive overall operational efficiency.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field with a strong accounting focus.
• Experience: For an Accounting Analyst I, 1+ year of experience in accounting or a relevant internship is required. For an Accounting Analyst II, 2+ years of accounting experience are necessary, with energy industry experience preferred.
• Skills: Strong analytical, problem-solving, and financial acumen; proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the ability to interpret large datasets; effective communication and collaboration skills; strong organizational ability with attention to detail; and a continuous improvement mindset with an interest in automation.
• Bonus: CPA or progress toward certification.
