Finance and Accounting Leadership Development Program Intern | Travelers

This is an internship at Travelers, located in Hartford, CT and St. Paul, MN. What You’ll Actually Do
• Exposure: Gain real-world exposure through internship assignments in areas such as Accounting and Controllership, Auditing and Internal Controls, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), Financial Reporting and Modeling, Corporate Audit, or Corporate Tax.
• Development: Work on projects designed to build technical skills, business insight, and professional competencies crucial for success in finance and accounting roles.
• Engagement: Participate in development programming, networking events, and community outreach initiatives to connect with peers and leaders across the organization.
• Mentorship: Receive direct exposure to senior management and benefit from mentorship opportunities.
• Learning: Develop finance and accounting capabilities through a structured learning curriculum.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Accounting and/or Finance or a related business field.
• Experience: Eligible for full-time hire or a repeat internship within one year of completing this current internship; demonstrated leadership potential through internships, extracurricular activities, or work experience.
• Skills: Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel; strong interpersonal and communication skills; a collaborative mindset; a commitment to excellence, integrity, and continuous growth; strong work ethic; and a high level of critical and analytical thinking skills.
• Bonus: Cumulative GPA of 3.4 or greater; willingness to relocate to Hartford, CT or St. Paul, MN.
