2027 Summer Corporate Intern – Pricing | Caterpillar Inc.

The Tone:
This is a seasonal internship at Caterpillar Inc., located in Peoria, IL, Mossville, IL, or Cary, NC. The TL;DR

• Pay: $22.50 – $40.25 hourly
• Team: Critical team member in organizations handling all aspects of pricing for Caterpillar Machines, Energy & Transportation (Engines), and Parts & Services.
• Mission: Establish and execute optimal price levels for various products and services by analyzing business indicators and providing strategic recommendations.
• Tech Stack: Microsoft Excel

What You’ll Actually Do
• Pricing Strategy: Work in a team environment to establish and execute optimal price levels for various Caterpillar products and services.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with product, sales, marketing, accounting, and supply chain teams to drive value-based pricing strategies.
• Digital Pricing Development: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to advance Caterpillar’s digital pricing capabilities.
• Data Analysis & Communication: Analyze, interpret, and communicate a wide variety of data to inform pricing decisions and recommendations.
• Price Action Execution: Execute strategic and tactical price adjustments within a robust pricing governance framework.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Currently pursuing a Bachelors or Masters degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, Business Management, Statistics, Mathematics, Marketing, or another business-related field from a 4-year accredited university/college, and maintaining this status throughout the program.
• Experience: Completion of 12 semester hours prior to the start of the internship; transfer students must have 12 semester hours completed at a 4-year university.
• Skills: Analytical Thinking; Data Gathering & Analysis; Accuracy and Attention to Detail; Effective Communications.
• Bonus: Minimum 3.0/4.0 GPA (both Major GPA & Cumulative GPA); previous internship and/or relevant work experience; leadership involvement in student associations.
