Executive Director, Corporate Development | Medison Pharma

This is a full-time role at Medison Pharma, located in the United States, East Coast based (Greater NY or Greater Boston preferred; remote position). • Pay: $250000–$330000 yearly
• Team: Reports to the Chief Business Officer, part of the Business Development & Corporate Strategy Division Leadership Team.
• Mission: Owns identifying, evaluating, and executing strategic partnerships and transactions to drive Medison’s long-term growth and bring advanced therapies to patients.
What You’ll Actually Do
• Strategy: Identify, evaluate, and execute strategic partnerships and key transactions to support Medison’s growth.
• Valuation: Lead and execute valuation deal models across all transaction types, serving as the company’s Center of Excellence for valuation matters.
• Relationship Management: Develop and maintain a robust pipeline of strategic opportunities and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including C-level executives and investment banks.
• Leadership: Mentor, manage, and develop a high-performing corporate development team, fostering an environment of Leadership, Collaboration, and Excellence.
• External Representation: Represent Medison externally at key industry conferences and with potential biotech partners, serving as an ambassador for the company’s growth strategy.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Executive level with an MBA or other advanced degree. Deep experience in valuation and transaction execution within the biopharmaceutical industry.
• Experience: 10-15 years in corporate/business development within biotech/pharma, investment banking, management consulting (Big 3), private equity, or royalty firms. Demonstrated successful track record in leading and closing late-stage and/or commercial stage transactions.
• Skills: Extensive knowledge of financial analysis and valuation methodologies (P&Ls, DCF, NPV, IRR, risk adjustments), deal structuring. Excellent communication skills and ability to engage with C-level executives. Inspirational leadership and collaborative approach.
• Bonus: M&A experience strongly preferred. An additional scientific degree is a plus. Established network within the biotech industry, with proven ability to build strong relationships with biotech C-level executives. Entrepreneurial mindset.
