Director, M&A Finance | Univar Solutions

What You’ll Actually Do
• M&A & Corporate Development Leadership: Manage all phases of the M&A and corporate development processes, from initial evaluation to execution and post-close integration.
• Strategic Opportunity Evaluation: Evaluate strategic opportunities through comprehensive financial and qualitative analysis, identifying financial and operational issues.
• Financial Modeling & Valuation: Build detailed financial models for scenario analysis, assessing post-acquisition benefits, and determining return metrics.
• Due Diligence Management: Oversee all financial diligence activities, coordinating effectively with internal teams and various external advisors.
• Executive Communication & Decision Support: Present investment cases, findings, and recommendations to senior leadership and the Board to support executive decision-making.
• Cross-Functional & Vendor Coordination: Collaborate and manage internal and external workflows, including legal, tax, HR, and operations, for seamless execution, and coordinate all vendors used in transaction processes.
• Post-Transaction Support: Ensure the success of integration or separation efforts, track the achievement of financial goals, and monitor post-acquisition benefits.
• Deal Sourcing & Selection: Actively participate in the identification and selection of potential deal opportunities.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s in Accounting, Finance, or Economics.
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years in investment banking, corporate development, transaction consulting, or principle investing, with hands-on M&A and corporate development experience across the full deal lifecycle.
• Skills: Expertise in financial modeling (DCF, LBO, returns analysis) and valuation methodologies; Proven project management and cross-functional leadership; Advanced analytical skills and Excel proficiency; Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Bonus: CPA or MBA preferred.
