Financial Analyst | Maccaferri

What You’ll Actually Do
• Reporting: Prepare, analyze, and present comprehensive monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and alignment with corporate standards. This includes monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement, while also supporting budgeting and forecasting cycles through data modeling and performance tracking.
• Systems Management: Serve as a key user and subject matter expert for SAP (FI/CO modules), ensuring accurate data flow between all financial systems and business functions. This involves developing custom reports and dashboards using both SAP and Excel to streamline data retrieval and analysis, alongside maintaining and enhancing master data accuracy to ensure overall data integrity.
• Process Optimization: Evaluate existing financial processes to identify opportunities for standardization, automation, and efficiency improvements through technology and analytics. This includes partnering with cross-functional teams to implement process enhancements that reduce manual effort, improve accuracy, and support the rollout of digital finance initiatives and best practices across the region.
• Accounting & Compliance: Collaborate closely with accounting teams to ensure accurate and timely month-end and year-end close processes. This involves reviewing general ledger activity, reconciling accounts, and ensuring strict compliance with internal controls and company policies, as well as assisting with internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and analytical support.
• Business Partnering: Work closely with operational and commercial teams to provide actionable financial insights and recommendations aimed at driving profitability and enhancing overall business performance. Additionally, this role supports the CFO and leadership team with ad hoc financial analyses and various strategic initiatives.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field, demonstrating a strong understanding of accounting principles, financial controls, and data accuracy standards. This role requires a high level of integrity, attention to detail, and accountability in all financial practices.
• Experience: 4+ years of progressive experience in financial analysis, accounting, or corporate finance, including hands-on experience with SAP (FI/CO). A proven record of process improvement, automation, or system optimization within a finance function is essential.
• Skills: Advanced Excel and data analysis skills, including pivot tables, lookups, complex formulas, and financial modeling. Demonstrated analytical, problem-solving, project management, and organizational abilities. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with diverse stakeholders. Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively, manage multiple competing priorities, and consistently deliver high-quality results with a strong sense of ownership.
