• Team: Funds & Co-Investments Group (FCG) identifies and invests with leading private equity funds and co-investments; Associate works as a key member of small deal teams.
• Mission: Assess and execute private equity fund investments and co-investments across various strategies and industries to contribute to GIC’s long-term investment strategy.
What You’ll Actually Do
• Execution: Work as a key member of small deal teams to assess and execute private equity fund investments and co-investments across various strategies and industries.
• Presentation: Present and defend investment proposals to Investment Committees.
• Relationship Management: Help monitor and maintain relationships with existing managers and source potential new fund managers.
• Representation: Represent GIC at fund managers’ annual investor meetings and participate in meetings with the leaders of PE firms and the management teams of prospective co-investments.
• Strategic Projects: Work on special projects typically related to strategy, portfolio planning, and portfolio construction.
The Must-Haves
• Background: BA/BS with strong academic qualifications; at least 1 year of work experience at a leading investment bank, consulting firm, or in the Private Equity industry.
• Experience: At least 1 year of work experience in relevant financial or consulting roles; ideally, some exposure to the Private Equity industry.
• Skills: Excellent financial analysis and modelling skills, strong commercial judgment, strong written and oral communication skills.
• Bonus: A team-player, with maturity, integrity, and the ability to engage with senior counterparties; well-organised, hard-working, self-starter, with an ability to work independently.
