Associate, Life Sciences Lending | Oaktree Capital Management, L.P.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Analyze: Analyze company financial statements, valuations, and capital structures.
• Model: Develop detailed financial models, including comprehensive projections, for investment opportunities.
• Diligence: Conduct qualitative business and industry due diligence, including interviews with industry experts and company management.
• Strategy: Develop comprehensive investment theses and memos, and present investment ideas to portfolio managers.
• Monitor: Monitor the performance of existing portfolio investments to ensure ongoing success.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree from a top university, with a background as an analyst or associate in investment banking or leveraged finance.
• Experience: At least 2-3 years of experience as an analyst or associate within a top investment bank’s investment banking or leveraged finance division.
• Skills: Outstanding financial modeling and analytical skills; demonstrated competency in financial statement analysis, business valuation, accounting, and finance; excellent written and verbal communication skills; strong initiative, work ethic, integrity, and professionalism.
• Bonus: Prior experience or exposure to the healthcare industry.
