Financial Analyst I/II/III | Boardwalk Pipelines

The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Boardwalk Pipelines, located in Owensboro, KY. Boardwalk is a limited partnership operating in the midstream natural gas and natural gas liquids industry, providing essential transportation and storage services to customers across 13 states. With 14,000 miles of pipeline and storage assets, the company connects producers to end-users for power generation, home heating, and petrochemical feedstocks. This role is crucial for ensuring the accurate and compliant processing of all payroll functions, maintaining critical financial data, and supporting the company’s commitment to operational excellence and financial integrity for employees and communities.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Payroll Processing: Process bi-weekly payroll, including Oracle timesheets and various discretionary payments, while maintaining compliance with internal and SOX controls.
• Data Auditing & Maintenance: Maintain and rigorously audit adjustments for new hires, terms, and other payroll changes, ensuring accurate payroll, tax, and employee records within Dayforce HCM.
• Financial Journals & Reports: Prepare and process comprehensive bi-weekly, monthly, and quarterly accounting journals, funding requests, and detailed reports for all payroll-related activities.
• Account Analysis & Reconciliation: Utilize Oracle EBS, Reports Wand, and advanced spreadsheets to conduct thorough monthly analysis and reconciliation of over 100 payroll-related accounts across various BWP entities.
• System Integration & Testing: Oversee the maintenance and audit of bi-weekly interfaces with T Rowe Price for 401k withholdings, and actively participate in quarterly testing of Oracle EBS and Dayforce upgrades and new configurations.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or an equivalent field of study.
• Experience: Demonstrated proficiency with both the Dayforce HR/Payroll system and the Oracle EBS accounting system.
• Skills: Excellent overall computer skills, strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel, an action and detail-oriented approach with a strong customer focus, and the proven ability to maintain strict confidentiality in handling sensitive information.
• Bonus: 2-5 years of experience in payroll, 2-5 years of experience in incentive accounting, practical experience with software configuration, interfaces, data analysis, and testing, and strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
